The National Union of Moroccan Students (UNEM) was founded in 1956 as the national student union. Since 1979, the VDB (Democratic Grassroots Path) faction has led the organization based on Marxist-Leninist principles. For over seven decades, we have been at the forefront of the student movement, fighting for students' rights, academic freedom, and social justice. Our organization represents students across all Moroccan universities, maintaining our independence while building solidarity with workers and progressive movements worldwide.
